    The 1949 Franklin yearbook has this Officer’s name as D P PATON. The entry referred to his award of the DFC

    Donald Paton was my uncle.
    He volunteered while living in Trinidad with his wife.
    He served with 600 Squadron in North Africa and Italy flying Mosquito nightfighters and later Hurricanes.
    He was awarded two DFCs and gets a mention in the 600 Squadron history: ‘Gentlemen in Blue’ available on Amazon.
