October 25th, 2008 at 2:59 pmAlexander Graeme Elder was my great uncle. He was born in London to white british heritage with one sister called Audrey. He joined the RAF at 17 and was killed in action above the Netherlands.
April 6th, 2012 at 12:33 pmHe was shot down at night on 13 March 1941 over Jipsinghuizen, East-Netherlands.
March 20th, 2017 at 8:16 pmMy schoolmate used to tell me about airplane remnants they found in his backgarden.
I was told a bomb dropped from the Wellington landed on the house I lived in, killing some pigs and maybe a girl. Though there was a big hole in the floor, I doubt this is true.
Wellington was attacked above the museaal area.Ik have a report of local-police wich confirmed the shots of aerial attack and fire on the wellington. They had bombload onboard. The local family of mr Abbes had to evacuate their home the next Day, in order to dismantle the bombombs by germans.Their exist some pictures of these. Some small pieces of the wellington are found in last years .
