I am the grandson of Winston Hugh Ellsworth Ashton Recile, son of Winston Ellsworth Anthony Recile. Born in Trinidad December 31. Without knowing all of my past especially about my grandfather and his role in WWII, the desire to fly has certainly been handed down through the genes as I have flow airplanes and trained in aerial dogfighting.
I have also been in contact with the author of the Ulric Cross to learn more about all the pilots from the W.I.
If anyone has any information about his father ‘Robert Ashton Anthony Recile’, please email me as I am working on tracking the lineage.
Thank you.
