Halifax, piloted by Skinner, took off at 2335hrs on 1 Oct 1945 on an operational meteorological sortie. A/C failed to return. Probably ditched in the sea. Body never recovered. Son of Robert and Millicent Skinner; husband of Daphne Gwendoline Skinner, of Newbury, Berkshire.

    John Rochford Skinner is my father – he is from Trinidad, not Barbados to put the records straight. i have a twin sister. we were born 19th November,six weeks after his plane went down. I would like to have any information that anyone can give me.
