Sadly a few weeks ago Hugh Wynter passed away. I knew Hugh as we were members of the same RAFA Branch and I had the privilege to call him my friend. Hugh was a true Gentleman, age or background were no barriers to him when spending time with others, I am 56 years younger than Hugh and always found him easy to talk to, although I preferred to listen to him especially when he told stories of his younger days.

The fact is that men like Hugh who served the Country in a way that most can only imagine, are getting few and far between. So I treasure my memories of Hugh, consider myself honored to have known him, the members of our RAFA Branch truly miss him, as do all that knew him. RIP my friend….
