This was my dad … and he was a most amazing and wonderful person!
June 24th, 2010 at 7:49 amI met Jimmy Barton when he returned to Ja sometime after the war with a young family. He told me he was a tail gunner and had flown 12 missions . But he never said much about what his war service had been like. He was a wonderful mentor and friend. We shared an interest in target shooting then he took up yachting and founded Production Welding on Spa Tn Rd. He died too young, in his early 60s. A fine person ! Thanks for the memory. .
